Under its auspices, some 60,000 seminar days are offered each year. Massuah\u2019s up-to-date exhibitions and multimedia centers encourage experiential and meaningful learning, tailored to junior-high students, on a wide variety of topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u201cPhotos from a Family Album\u201d<\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0activity in the exhibition hall on the Jewish world that used to be.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cGrowing Up in Nazi Germany\u201d<\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0the Nazi ideology through the prism of children\u2019s literature, propaganda posters, and films. In the course of the workshop, students attend the first\u00a0 part of the\u00a0<strong>\u201cHate Industry\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0Antisemitism and Racism, the Last 100 Years\u201d<\/strong> exhibition<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cChild Survivors the Day after Liberation\u201d<\/strong>&#8211; the \u201cSalvino children,\u201d a personal research workshop. Revealed here are the personal stories of child survivors who were gathered up from all over Europe and taken to Salvino House, an orphanage established by the Jewish Brigade in northern Italy. The workshop is specifically tailored to the junior-high level and held in small groups. The interesting and intriguing activity encourages participation and experiential learning.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cAbout People and Artifacts\u201d<\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0a workshop on the meaning of young people\u2019s personal artifacts and their loss. The patterns invoked by children and adolescents to cope with loss during the Holocaust are discussed through the medium of elements of our own personal identity.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cFacing the Rising Sun\u201d<\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0the Zionist youth movements in the 1930s and during and after the Holocaust, explored by means of a multiscreen presentation and testimonies of underground fighters, youth-movement members, who survived.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cRescue during the Holocaust\u201d<\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0the meaning of rescue during the Holocaust, with discussion of various characteristics of rescue and the personae of the rescuers. The range of activities includes a creative workshop that commemorates dilemmas and values associated with rescue.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cDestination Unknown\u201d<\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0a challenging research workshop<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A visit to the \u201cAddressee has Left \u2013 Destination Unknown\u201d exhibition for experiential research. Activity is based on \u201ccodes\u201d that acquaint participants with various uses of postal services during the war: by the Nazi authorities, the Jewish leadership, and the Jews in the ghettos.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Art workshop &#8211; \u201cHolocaust, Memory, and Identity\u201d:<\/strong> creative art as a path to reflection.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Activity at multimedia centers\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0prejudices and stereotypes in Israeli society; \u201cBeing Israeli\u201d &#8211; components of the Israeli identity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional contents can be developed in accordance with participants\u2019 age and the school\u2019s goals.
